Product Information:
To see a complete list of the products available to MSU through our Microsoft Select Agreement click the link below to view the spreadsheet. If you find a part number that you want that is not in the price list, contact the MSU Computer Store (517) 432-0700 to inquire about its availability.
Microsoft Volume Licensing Part List
General Information:
- All MS Product Licenses are sold separately from Media. The Media kits are an additional item.
- All MS Licenses are perpetual (they do not expire).
- Software Assurance is available for most licenses (Software Assurance provides you with automatic upgrades to new versions of the license you purchased for a set amount of time.
- Software Assurance runs in parallel with our MS Select Contract which is a 3 year term, SA is sold each year on a prorated amount.
- License orders are usually available in 48 hours or less
- Media orders will have to be ordered and will take approximately 3-7 days to receive.
Installation:
To install the MS Volume License Product you will need a copy of the MVLS media (retail or "box copy" media will not work) and you will need a license product key (supplied via email after purchase of license). Simply place the CD into your computer and follow the on screen installation instructions. If you have trouble installing the software you can go to Microsoft's Website for more information.
Upgrades:
- Upgrades are only provided for those who purchased the Software Assurance bundle.
- If you do not have SA then you must purchase the license for the upgraded product version.
- Software Assurance must be purchased as a bundle with the license, you cannot purchase SA at a later time.
